I’d like to inquire about a license conversion. I am currently doing my IR in Scotland. My wife is Australian and we are moving to the sunshine coast in a few months. I am looking for a training school that does license conversions.
I am looking to convert my CPL, MEIR into the CASA equivalent. I am aware I will have to sit an IREX exam and a CPL airlaw exam and get an ASID.
I was wondering if you would be able to facilitate a conversion for my and was wondering how much it would cost to do the conversion (approximately, I know it depends on how many hours in the A/C I will need).
Our charges are, currently, $500 per day for the Instructor, $40 per hour for the synthetic trainer, and $395 per hour for the twin comanche.
Without knowing your background and experience it is impossible to estimate a total time or cost, but most of the pilots converting to Aust MECIR take about 5 days, 10 hr synthetic trainer, and 5 days.
Give me more details and I may be more specific. Alternatively ring me when you arrive.
